The Opifex medal is granted to those who contribute to the Total War Center forums in an exceptional way - usually for work on modifications for the total war series of games.

== Overview ==
The administrators of the [[Total War Center]] site and forums are collectively known as the Hexagon Council or 'Hex'. When the new [[Syntagma]] was introduced they ceased to be known as the 'Hexagon Council'. However, eventually the old name was reintroduced. Currently, the administrators of TWC are officially known as the Hexagon Council, or Hex in short, again.

This Council is the main body which performs the day-to-day administering of the [[Total War Center]] and its forums. Council members can be identified by their bold, red usernames or as wearing the following badge:

 The current system of administration was first introduced after [[imb39]] [[Total War Center History#Sale of the Site|bought the site]] which led to the birth of the Syntagma system. The old system which this is loosely based around was created after the Merger of the [[Total War Center History|Old Hex]] and the [[Total War Center History|Triumvirate]] caused by the aftermath of the [[Total War Center History#Staff rebellion|Staff Reforms]] in October, 2006. The internal working of the Council is for the most part determined by itself. Members are usually promoted from [[Moderator|Junior Moderators]] following an internal vote, although members may equally be promoted from outside of Staff at the Councils discretion as current events and requirements dictate.

In the years he has spent at [[TWC]], Guy has made somewhat of an impact.

Guy was offered patronage to become a Citizen by another member in 2007, but unfortunately failed the vote. This lead to a 3 month absence but returned in 2008.

Towards the end of 2008, citizenship arose again. After his patron, ''J@mes'', left after some speculative confusion, Guy was left with an offer of citizenship but nobody to put it forward in the [[Curia]]. [[Empress Meg]] came forward and offered to be the patron. He passed with a 100% record, without any ''No'' or ''Abstain'' votes.

In the mid-period of 2008, Guy took a keen interest in the Graphics section. Contributing regularly to the site, this lead to other ambitions later in his TWC ''career''.

Guy soon got involved with site work, producing most of the [[Lord Rahl]]-style badges for the Medieval skin, along with many other site awards which are still in use today. This lead to him being approached by [[Belisarius]] to join the Content Branch in the art department with newbie [[Caradog]] (now Deseprado). Together, Guy and Caradog created both the [[Content Artists]] and [[The Graphics Workshop]], where they both became [[Local Moderator]]s. He recieved the Scribe's Quill for his work over his epoch in the [[Content Staff]].

Guy then joined the [[Wiki Staff]] where his time served was short lived. He resigned in early 2009. However, he received the Wiki Staff Award for his contributions to the [[TWC Wiki]].

After discussions, Guy was put forward to become a [[Junior Moderator]]. He passed in early 2009. Guy served only 3 months and received the Bronze Moderator's Mace for his work.

However, he resigned from all of his positions, except Citizen, due to studying.

Lurks for 2 years and picks up tid-bits here and there on th RTW and MTW2 forums. Gains technical advice on the games.

His sponsors for citizenship were Thanatos, Scorch, Boeing, Elrond, Hader and The Sundance Kid. His citizenship took four months and four attempts, until he was finally patronized by Hader for good. Was awarded the bronze scribe's quill for three month's service as a librarian on July 02, 2008, and the silver scribe's quill for six month's service on September 24, 2008. Gold quill in March.

Was promoted to junior moderator on July 7, 2008. On the modding team for Res gestae Impera, a Rome mod for M2TW. Has a knack for moderating and appreciates the opportunity to do so.

Actively moderates and oversees all of the TFT's dealings and control the usergroup by himself. Also likes to take part in the actual gameplay and help expand the empire. Likes to add his experience to others and his contributions at this point being to surface. An active player in "You are the Senate," as well as World Alliances.
