The Critic's Quill is a TWC publication, published under the title 'The Eagle Standard Presents: The Critic's Quill'. It was started separate to the [[Eagle Standard]], but was quickly incorporated under it's banner, as it deals with some similar aspects. The Critic's Quill offers readers reviews, articles and interviews about After Action Reports ([[AAR]]).
==History==

Work began on the first issue of the Critic's Quill at the beginning of April 2009. The idea was floated in the AAR forum by the user fergusmck about the possibility of an AAR reviewing magazine. With help from Aster, who had produced some reviews of his own before, TW King and Morinzil, as well as moderation support from Hesus de Bodemloze, the first issue was launched soon after.

The merger with the Eagle Standard was first put forward by Calvin, through Hesus, who was acting as the public 'face' of the CQ at this time. Eventually it was agreed on that the CQ should be published as an Eagle Standard publication.

'''Junius''' is the current and founding Editor of the [[Critic's Quill]]. He is also the Team Leader of the Empire and Napoleonic News section of the [[Eagle Standard]]. He joined Total War Centre at the end of May 2008 and was made a [[Citizen]] in May 2009 for his work in founding the Critic's Quill.

Fergus McKeown in real life, he lives in Dublin, Ireland and is currently in his Junior Freshmen year at Trinity College, studying Ancient and Medieval History and Culture.
