|description= Demon Soul recreated on the M2TW Engine
}}

Introduction
Inspired by the incredible game that was Demon Soul, KingTheoden1 decided to created a mod based on it. For those who haven't played the game, here's the background story :

King Allant the Twelfth brought unprecedented prosperity to his people by channeling the Soul Arts. However, in his lust for power, he awakened the Deep One, and with it, a horde of Demons. The Demons hunt for the human's souls. Those who lose their souls, lose their minds. Those who lost their minds attack the sane, and chaos reigns. The Demons feed themselves with the power of a human soul. And the power of a mature Demon's Soul, is beyond imagination. Boletaria was shrouded in a deep fog, and those who dared enter, never returned. Until Vallarfax of the Twin Fangs broke free, and told the rest of the world of Boletaria's plight. Many heroes, including Biorr of the Twing Fangs; Sage Freke, the Visionary; Saint Urbain; Yurt, The Silent Chief; Saint Astraea and her loyal knight, Garl Vinland; and many more. But there was one who broke free - a sole knight. Will you be the saviour of the world ? Or will the Demons find a new slave ?

Description
The mod aims to recreate the world of the Role-Playing Game for the PS3 : Demon's Souls. Demon's Souls is a fascinating world, with tonnes of interesting enemies, and especially huge monsters. You start off as a small, tiny little guy, and that's generally how you feel throughout the game. If at a certain time you feel awesome and strong, the game does a good job in making you feel like a tiny worm again by unleashing a beast that's eight times as big as you. The mod strives to recreate the loneliness that occurs in Demon's Souls, as well as the Role-Playing Element.

Features
The game is completely different from all mods on TW. It focuses mainly (and only) on the RPG-aspect, which becomes clear the moment you enter the game. You need to make a choice immediately, and it's a quite important one as well. You can choose between 3 classes, each with their own (dis)advantages and strengths.

As you progress throughout the game, the necessary reinforcements will be supplied by the "Treasures" you find along the way. Treasures are settlements in their lowest form, meaning villlages, inhabited by only 400 villagers (the game's minimum). Treasures yield a reward, and, upon conquering them, you will get that reward. However, the treasures will be guarded by a garisson, depending on the value of the treasure - so players will have to make sure that what they lose during the fight for the treasure, is worth less than the actual treasure. If you keep losing more men than you can pay with the treasures' reward, then you'll be armyless and bankrupt immediately. Treasures contain all sorts of values, like different types of armor, units, and money.

The units' system is also different. Depending on your first choice, you will start off with the ability to create different types of units. If you chose Soldier, you will only be able to create units with Platemail Armor (strong but expensive armor). If you chose Wanderer, however, you'll start off with the ability to create cavalry, but you'll have bad armor, et cetera. These bonuses can be found in the treasure-settlements, so you can still create horses if you chose Soldier in the beginning.

Units
The Units system is pretty easy - there are several types of armor :

Leather

Hard Leather (optional)

Chainmail

Plate Mail

Bare-Breasted (male only )

Fluted Armor (either this one or Plate Mail for vs.1)

The units are only available in the settlement in which you found the armor - meaning that if you found the Plate Mail treasure on the map, you can only create units armed with Plate Mail there. If you chose Soldier in the beginning - who are equipped with Plate Mail - , you can create Plate Mail units in the Nexus, BUT ONLY PLATE MAIL UNITS. You'll have to find the Leather armor treasure to create cheaper units ! The Wanderer and Hunter both start with leather, but Wanderer also has stables (which would also be a treasure), and Hunter has archery ranges (again, would also be a treasure).

Each armor has x (needs to be decided for the first release) kinds of units, and could include :

Normal Man-at-Arms (Sword and shield)

2-Handed Swordsman (perhaps also a 2H Axeman)

Spear-and-shield guys (same as Man-at-Arms but armed with a spear)

Halberdiers (which are essentially the Pikemen of Med2)

Archers

Cavalry

Each armour has it's advantages and disadvantages -

Leather : Cheap but weak

Fluted Armor : Extremely Expensive but extremely strong

Hard Leather : Good balance between cost/durability
etc...

Patria Libera is medieval mod which passes throught the XIV century to the year when the Constantinople fall(1453. During the short timeframe of the mod the player will learn all about this exciting part of history. The mod includes a totaly new map with 199 provinces , new models, new historical characters, new unique cities models and more than 30 nations determined to rule all of Europe.

Description
The year 1300 begins a very interesting and turbulent century. Small duchies and kingdoms established their independence while the large, established kingdoms and empires saw their power diminished by weak faction leaders and powerful, independent feudal lords. And everywhere people were devastated by the scourge of the “Black Death.” During this era the longest war in medieval history was waged, “The 100 Year’s War.” Powerful alliances were born such as the Kalmar Union and Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The Papacy saw its authority challenged by its exile in Avignon and later by the schism of the two Anti-Popes. The fall of Byzantine Empire began and in the year 1453, the Eastern Roman Empire finally fell to the Ottoman Turks, It is also the end year of our mod and a year which heralds the end of Feudalism and the beginning of the Renaissance.

The main goal of the mod is to establish the “real” historical “environment” found in Medieval Europe at the beginning of the 14th Century, giving the player the “feel” of the historic background in 1301 AD. During our timeframe player will experience most of the significant historic events, accompanied by the appearance of historical characters such as the rebellion of the Hussites lead by Ján Žižka or the French “Rebirth“ lead by Joan de Arc, and much, much more.

Features
*A new map with 199 provinces
*More then 30 nations.
*New models.
*New historical characters

*More then 30 nations.

Colonies and Culture: Each region has its own cultural settings. Initially all cultures are divided to three groups: Western Civilized, Eastern Civilized and Barbarian Customs.
The easiest way to boost the spread of you own culture in any region is to either build Law Temples or bring in Generals with the proper culture trait.
The other way is to establish your own Colonies in the region - this is ultimately essential in any conquered regions. There are four basic groups of colonies: Small Colonies, Large Colonies, Independent Colonies and Native Colonies.
In order to build new faction specific buildings, you need the proper cultural colonies. A Native Settlement can build any factional buildings it has, but Small Colonies can only build basic structures.
As a special faction, Egypt has the ability to choose from 2 cultural paths - either the native Eastern, or the Ptolemaic Western culture. Depending on which culture is chosen, different units will be available.

Cultural Barracks: With the new implementation of cultural buildings, barracks have been adapted with the new system. There are essentially four groups of barracks:
* Auxiliary Barracks: Train region specific mercenaries and native units.
* Roman Barracks: For Roman factions.
* Greek Barracks: For Greek, Baktrian and Egyptian factions.
* Eastern Barracks: For Eastern, Carthaginian and Egyptian factions.
* Barbarian Barracks: For all Barbarian factions.

Each Barracks will require the presence of a certain Colony, so if you are playing as Greeks and conquer a barbarian territory, you will need to build Greek Colonies there, or you will not be able to advance the settlement. Building Colonies is easy, but takes time.
Auxiliary Barracks do not require any colonies, but are sometimes useless for there are no native units to train (yet).
There are 5 levels of barracks:
* Militia Barracks: Only Levy units can be trained
* City Barracks: Only City(+Levy) level units can be trained
* Army Barracks: Only Army(+City) level units can be trained
* Royal Barracks: Only Royal(+Army) level units can be trained
* Reform Barracks: Only Royal and Reform units can be trained

Each Barrack system will provide a different array of troops to recruit. Essentially you can have a properly functioning Levy army from the ground up, but its quality will not be as good.
With each level that is added, a different unit roster will be available, with only a small selection of previous level troops. In non-native areas, units will appear 1 level later. For example, a Militia Barracks unit will make its first appearance in City Barracks.

Once you have conquered a region, unless its of the same culture you are in (eg: Greek vs Greek), you will have to build new colonies and new barracks, specific to your culture only.

Introduction
The original INVASIO BARBARORVM, set in 410 AD, with the Goths in the outskirts of Rome, the Vandals in Spain, the Huns sweeping the east like a storm, and all of Gaul under the usurper Constantine III. The world is changing and new powers are on the rise as the fate of civilisation hangs in the balance. Will you defend Rome and restore it to its former glory, or will you batter down its walls with the hordes?

Description
410 AD was a year that saw much of the Western Roman Empire in chaos. The Goths sweep through Italy like a plague, the Vandals seek to build an empire of their own on the ruins of Carthage, and the Huns mass on the borders of the Empire, even as refugee tribes inundate the lands of the West, even as the heart of the Empire has been crushed by the betrayal of COnstantine and his seizure of the vast and prosperous lands of Gaul. The Eastern Roman Empire is in almost as much trouble, locked in a dire battle with the vast Sassanid Empire, the outcome of which might ultimately be decided by the Lakhmid Arabs choice of allies. It is into this world that you are plunged.
History
INVASIO BARBARORVM is a series of mods for BI focusing on the Late Roman Empire, roughly speaking from the 3rd to the 5th centuries AD. The mod was originally founded by Attila Reloaded and initially consisted of gradual replacement of new made units. As the mod expanded it came to feature not only new units, but also a new map and new buildings etc. When Attila Reloaded retired from the modding community, the leadership of IBFD passed to Ramon Gonzales y Garcia, who was the team leader in charge when the 7.03 version of the mod was released.

After the release of IBFD 7.03 ( Download ), the decision was taken to rename the mod to RVINA ROMAE, and work on the 8.0. version began. Currently the leadership of IBFD/RR is shared between Gäiten and Joar.

Hard Leather : Good balance between cost/durability
etc...

Archers
Cavalery

Each armour has it's advantages and disadvantages -

Leather : Cheap but weak
Fluted Armor : Extremely Expensive but extremely strong
Hard Leather : Good balance between cost/durability
etc...

== History ==
