The Political Mudpit is a sub-forum concerned with politically oriented discussion, in Discussion and Debate. Due to the partisan and combustible nature of the forum it has stricter rules that others, and boasts more moderators than any other sub-forum. Many of Total War Center's most colourful characters have posted there more than anywhere else.

Topics can vary widely from the behavior of nation states on the world stage to the specific actions of designated political actors. Threads usually are more oriented towards pressing issues than towards political theory or more obscure issues.
