Description

Napoleon Order of War, one of the most thoroughly overhauled mods of Napoleon Total War brings you the ultimate in campaign AI, battle AI, historical accuracy and a realistic and tactical form of gameplay never seen before.

Features

  • Revamped AI. NOW uses Josst's Ultimate AI mod as a base, thus greatly expanding the capabilities of the AI to the limits of modding. The Revamped AI not only is all but free from the dreaded "Melee bug" but it is now as flexible and efficient as most human players, ulitlising new tactics such as pinning and flanking, as well as avoiding the large mishapen blobs that plague the vannilla AI. The Campaign AI has also been upgraded, with the AI now honoring alliances, building better armies, and better economies, leading to a campaign experience like no other.
  • Reworked naval warfare. A naval overhaul made by ‘Sharp’ was offered to be included into NOW. It changes naval battles to a gripping new way of gameplay, making naval battles extremely tactical and historically accurate down to every last cannon.
  • Historical Uniforms. Uniforms were at its peak during the Napoleonic ages, as they started to cross from parade to more of a utility. Therefore NOW has changed 90% of the uniforms to the appropriate 1805 standard dress, as well as completely retexturing France leading to a much more historic look, and subsequently a much more historical experience
  • Historical Unit Statistics and Gameplay. NOW is a historical mod, trying to make the best gameplay and realistic mod possible, therefore Unit stats were changed to represent statistics found in deep research from real training documents and reports. The statistics are very historically orientated, every faction has its historical good points and weak points.
  • Impression. The artillery barrages, explosions and clouds of dense and poisonous gas help create a feeling of awe and truly exposes the capabilities and wonders of the warscape engine. Watch battalions evaporate under whithering shelling, melt away in green-coloured chlorine gas or be turned into piles of corpses in front of enemy positions.

The Team

  • Marshal Beale Leader, designs, textures, values, pack editing, unit.variant edits, UI, music, AI, testing, etc...
