Line 1: Line 1:
Hungarian Grenediers are truly a sight to behold. These are the best Grenediers in the game in comparison to training, limits, and timeframe. They have a accuracy of 50 which is "elite" status for any unit. They also have a reloading time of 40 which is 15 more than normal line infantry. These grenediers are available at Hungary when you have a Barracks available. These units are perfect for early game Austrian players because they give Austria a very early elite unit.

==Tactics==

Hungarian Grenediers are best used in conjuction with other line infantry. One tactic is to let your line infantry to "hold" the enemy in place while using the grenediers to flank them and deliver a accurate volley. If used correctly, the enemy unit will rout rather quickly because of the grenediers reloading time.

While in a fort, they are best used on the walls due to their acurrate firing and high melee skill. These units are especially devastating on cavalry if your enemy is not paying attention. One volley from this unit is usually enough to rout provincial cavalry or devastate elite cavalry.

But as always, these units are vulnerable to artillery fire but even more so due to their unit size.

    Overview

    Recruited from the largest and strongest men available, grenadiers must be capable of throwing a grenade far enough away so that the subsequent explosion does not kill them! Even so, fuses are notoriously unreliable, and men sometimes die from premature explosions. Yet no matter how worrying grenades are for the grenadiers, they are definitely worse for the targets!

    Grenadiers, thanks to their imposing stature, are also used as close-quarters shock troops, as they have the edge in a melee over smaller men.

    Historically, Hungarian Grenadiers were a sight to behold on the battlefield in their magnificent uniforms. Hungarian units in the Austrian army were raised by feudal levy. Although the Austrians had an integrated military, Hungary remained a separate kingdom, even though it shared a Hapsburg monarch with Austria. Military enlistment in Austrian service was originally for life; in 1757 limited service was introduced in the hopes of attracting better recruits and thereby improving the calibre of the soldiers. Men were allowed to enlist for a maximum of 6 years or for the duration of the any hostilities, whichever was longer.

    Details

    Hungarian Grenadiers are recruitable only in the Hungary and are a unique, Elite Infantry. As with their Grenadier counterparts, Hungarian Grenadiers should be placed directly behind friendly lines so that they can unleash their explosive payload on incoming enemy soldiers. Another tactic is to let your line infantry to "hold" the enemy in place while using the Grenadiers to flank them and deliver a accurate volley. If used correctly, the enemy unit will rout rather quickly because of the Grenadiers reloading time. In order to maximise the effectiveness of the morale boost the Hungarian Grenadiers have on friendly units, they should be placed in the middle of the line. Due to the fact that the Hungarian Grenadiers have high morale and combat statistics, they can be relied upon in the heat of battle.
