Overview

Assassins are a campaign map unit which have been featured in all of the Total War Games. They are used to kill enemy units and rebellious generals. In Medieval: Total War they could also be used on your own generals if you felt they were about to rebel.

Assassins gain Valour/Subterfuge through assassinating victims. Sometimes hero Assassins are created (Medieval only as far as I know) that already have a lot of valour. It is wise to train Assassins by making them assassinate Princesses, Emissaries and other agents before trying to assassinate Generals and Faction leaders.
