Tale of the WeekThe Tale of the Week Contest is a good way to boost your creativity: Each week an interesting picture, often from the Picture of the Week Contest, is chosen for competitors to write a short 'tale' about. After the submission period has concluded, a vote is held to ascertain which entrant has written the best story, based on the materials given. The winner of the weekly contest is awarded 1 point for the AAR Competitions Medals Scoreboard.
The following graphics competitions are held in the Screenshot Galleries:Picture of the WeekThe Picture of the Week Contest, in short PotW, allows any kinds of modifications to the original Total War picture, as long as the final picture still consists of a major Total War Screenshot part. Unedited Screenshot of the WeekThe Unedited Screenshot of the Week Contest, in short UESW, allows ONLY UNEDITED Total War Screenshots. The emphasis lies on the perfect shot at the perfect time. A Long Way From HomeThe Writers' Study Yearly Awards have concluded for 2016, and once again the denizens of the Study have seen it fit to crown A Long Way From Home the winner of the AAR of the Year! Caillagh de Bodemloze's AAR features an ordinary person like us, albiet with a slight twist... he has been transported to the world of TES: Skyrim with no clue how he got there or how to get back home to earth. Be sure to give this award-winning AAR a read and follow Yannick as he tries to cope in a strange world filled with monsters, magic, and mayhem - all intertwined with lighthearted humour, unique characters, and master story-telling. AD USQUE FIDELISSecuring 2nd place in the Creative Writing of the Year in this years Writers' Study Yearly Awards is ♔Old Dragoon♔'s story AD USQUE FIDELIS. It is a story of a veteran of Eastern Roman Empire army - Uliaris is a man whose past seems to be catching up not only with him, but with those others who shared his past with him. A friend of his stands trial, and it seems that someone wants Uliaris – and the testimony he could give in support of his friend – out of the way. But who is the someone? And can Uliaris and his friends stop them? The story is full of twists and turns and keeps its readers on their toes so be sure to check it out for a fantastic read! |

The Writers' Study holds monthly competitions for both AARs and creative writing pieces. The MAARC EventThe Monthly After Action Report Comptetition, in short MAARC, is open to AARs posted on TWC. Each month, writers can nominate their AARs if they were updated at least twice in the that month. After the 4 Week nomination period, usually 10 days voting is held to find the 3 best AARs for the month. Winning the MAARC gets you a score/leadership points:
These points can be gathered to finally gain the three AAR Competitions Medals! The MCWC EventThe Monthly Creative Writing Competition, in short MCWC is open to creative writing pieces such as serials, short stories, and poems.
