This modification/total conversion is based on The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy, as the goal of this mod is to replicate the epic battles seen in the movies. The idea of thousands of soldiers fighting it out in a chaotic yet manageable environment so far can only be done by using the Total War game engines, which has taken the first step into the realm of 3D with Rome Total War, a best-selling and award winning third title in the series.
The current released full version (version 2.0 with a campaign map) of the modification requires RTW 1.5 and the Alexander expansion to run.
The mod contains the only useable 'flying units' yet seen in a total war game, and many other novel features such as battle to gain control of the One Ring, Army of the Dead which can only be used once and others.
