Belgium is a well rounded faction,as you can have the commodities of a great power.First, you have an educational center at Liege, which is very valuable,as it can give you important technologies. Secondly, you have a trading port at Antwerp which you can use for gaining extra gold.Do not underestimate the importance of Gent. The initial cabinet isn't very interesting,so you would want to replace it.Some candidates may prove useful, and if a official has an ability of four stars or better,do not replace him. The capital at Bruxelles permits you to have a redutable land force. You would want to create an good army ,as the Batavian Republic and Prussia have their eye set upon you.If you have a good land army, then do not attack the Batavians outright,as they are allied with France.Instead, try to consolidate your fledgling kingdom and create a noteworthy land force. The Dutch will be conquered by the Prussians eventually anyway. After consolidating the army and establishing your economy, you may be attacked by Prussia.Defend yourself,as Flanders & Wallonia are very important. If the enemy is weak enough, attack Amsterdam and Cleves,if it is not heavily defended or Oldenburg if the Prussians conquered it.After battering them, make peace. Capturing Amsterdam is very important.DO NOT create the United Netherlands. If the Batavians have managed to build a Staff College or an Engineer School, that will prove a major boost to the army. The university at Utrecht and the port at Rotterdam will prove very important in the long run. After this, develop the economy and the army and your new Kingdom will be able to tackle soon Prussia and any power into submission.Vive le Belgique!
