Empire: Total War Empire: Total War is the fifth game in the esteemed and critically acclaimed Total War Series. Developed by the Creative Assembly, the Total War Series brings together elements of real time strategy and turn based game play. This incarnation is set in the 18th century and for the first time includes Naval Battles. APE:TI balances battles as well as the campaign while also improving the AI in both campaign and on the battle map. The mod also complete overhauls the economy adding greater ways to amass the large amounts of wealth that an Empire feeds on though also giving the player more ways to see red on the income sheet. The new manpower and supply system, similar to that of the Europa Universalis series, gives the player more strategic options while also stopping the infinite amounts of troops the player can usually recruit in the vanilla game. On the whole, the purpose of the mod is to give the player greater strategic and tactical options but also to give the player a more immersive and challenging gameplay experience.
