Core Building

Core buildings are the most essential part of settlement's defense which severely affects the progress of settlement in numerous ways. These core buildings can be upgraded when a certain amount of population is reached, in its particular level, after which the player gets an option to upgrade its settlements. This greatly affects the gameplay as with superior settlements a player can totally dominate his medieval world. These upgrade defenses include: upgraded city gates, extra wall defenses. In addition they provide free upkeep unit slots, public order bonus & additional recruitment slots. They also enable the training of certain units.

Core buildings differ according to your settlement type, which either could be, castle type or city type. Every settlement starts with the first basic level called 'village' & from here on a player can choose in which way he wants to develop it.
