MediaWiki:Protect-text
You may view and change the protection level here for the page $1.
Guideline for use: don't. Avoid protection wherever possible. The strength of wikis lies in the ability for anyone at all to easily make changes. If a page is being heavily vandalized, temporary semiprotection (protection from unregistered users) may be in order, but on small wikis there's probably no good reason for anything to be fully protected under normal circumstances, and probably the only thing that should be indefinitely semiprotected is the Main Page.
(Move protection can be given out much more lightly, since generally there's not much reason to move things around a ton. It still shouldn't be given out without cause, but full move protection for user pages or the main page or other things that are very unlikely to need renaming is okay.)
