Artillery Focus

  • The Empire
  • Dwarfs
  • Skaven
  • Vampire Coast

Cavalry Focus

  • Brettonia
  • The Empire (depending on playthrough.)
  • High Elves (depending on playthrough.)

Ranged Focus

  • Dark Elves
  • High Elves
  • Wood Elves
  • Dwarfs
  • The Empire
  • Vampire Coast
  • Skaven (Ratlings/Jezzzails with The Prophet & The Warlock DLC)

Melee Focus

  • Vampire Counts
  • Lizardmen
  • Norsca
  • Greenskins
  • Beastmen
  • Chaos Warriors
  • Dark Elves (in certain playstyles)
  • High Elves (in certain playstyles)

Elite Units

Low model count, but with high individual stats

  • Dark Elves
  • High Elves
  • Lizardmen
  • Dwarfs
  • Chaos Warriors

Swarmy

High model count, but with low individual stats.

  • Skaven
  • Vampire Counts
  • Vampire Coast

Air power

  • Brettonia
  • High Elves
  • Lizardmen (with Tiktaq’to FreeLC)
  • Dwarfs (ish - a gyrocopter army is marginally viable, but great as reinforcements)

Horde

  • Chaos Warriors
  • Beastmen

Horde (ish)

  • Wood Elves (they can only settle a few spots, and everywhere else is an outpost)
  • Norsca (Limited settlement, with focus on razing stuff)
  • Vampirates (Fleets function similarly to hordes, and they can 'cove' to support them. But they can also settle territory)

Magic focus

Magic is a more important aspect of playing the Race than typical.
