A Member of TWC since March of 2007, Samuel Adams was originally "Horton III."

Under that user name, Samuel Adams briefly aided the RS team with the RS 2 Carthaginians.

Creating a mod expansion for Napoleonic II: Total War, called first "N2TW: War of 1812," the mod became very popular among war gaming and living historian experts who called for the inclusion of South America.

Working through Lordz semi-approval, and failing health, he was able to complete the United States faction and the Argentina faction for an open Beta.

in March of 2008, a friend and mod team member, Anthony Lambert, passed away two days shy of his 50th birthday. This struck a major blow to the team, and work stalled for two months as none of the team members were eager to carry on without "Anthon."

Another major disaster hit in late June when his wife deleted the mod folder on accident when un-installing Rome: Total War from the laptop the game was installed on. The single beta folder uploaded was corrupt, and the mod expansion lost.

A second attempt was made, but with the (at the time) nearing of Empire: Total War, which was advertised as a Napoleonic era-including installment in the TW Series, and was supposed to be out within months, work stalled as the small mod team lost interest in redoing what had already been done well once.

After the initially unpopular v1.0 of Napoleonic II: Total War, which skewed the mod's playability to a point of being as noobish as Rome: Vanilla to most seasoned players, and the disregard by the LMC of the community's calling for a patch, a community patch was started by the 1812 mod team. This too was abandoned after the community realized there were 4 separate patches in the works, and finally a half-hearted attempt by the LMC to release a patch was realized late summer.

Since the modding excursions, Samuel Adams has taken a break from the TW series save the occasional Broken Cresent, NII: TW battle online, or Roma Surrectum. He writes part time and is about to release his first publication, at the moment titled The Role of Civil Government in a Free Society. In free time he plays several games including "Pirates of the Burning Sea," "IL-2 Sturmovik 1946," and others.

He will play ETW when it comes out... and has the Graphics card to make it fun!
