They often include a hidden developers only forum so that research, experimentation and discussion can be carried out in privacy. Hosted forums also provide a useful platform for fans and team members to interact. Feedback from fans (or constructive critics) is useful for any mod. Typically previews will be posted at regular intervals by mods in development and released mods will encourage further feedback from fans and give user support for any bugs or installation problems.
