Talk:The Byzantine Empire (M2TW:K Faction)

The Byzantines were the most advanced military of the Middle Ages- primarily because they were the inheritors of the old Roman system. Their success of surviving for over a thousand years with virtually no allies was due to the following factors which I would love to see some of you excellent modders put into effect: 1)The Byzantines used a diplomacy far advanced beyond their rivals. They should be able to more successfully bribe enemies of their enemies to attack on their behalf. 2) Their training- they actually had a sort of staff college and some of their manuals are still extant. 3) They had medics and surgeons who treated battlefield casualties with more success than any other army until the 19th century. 4) Their logistics- they could move and fight during any season whereas other medieval armies were bound to a base during winter( where they even then starved or died of disease).
