<h3"> Weekly Competitions

Tale of the Week

The Tale of the Week Contest is a good way to boost your creativity: Each week an interesting picture, often from the Picture of the Week Contest, is chosen for competitors to write a short 'tale' about. After the submission period has concluded, a vote is held to ascertain which entrant has written the best story, based on the materials given.

The winner of the weekly contest is awarded 1 point for the AAR Competitions Medals Scoreboard.

A Conquest of the Stars

The 2017 first-place award for Creative Writing went to Tigellinus, for his epic story A Conquest of the Stars.

Eleusis and Kaldratos are rising stars in a wide-ranging interstellar war, champions of their respective factions - and brothers. Meanwhile, Risa is caught between her fear of death and her loyalty to those who saved her when her home was destroyed.
Read the whole tale here.

Nous Pauvre Couillon de Front

The first place winner in AAR of the Year for 2017 was theSilentKiller, for the Nous Pauvre Couillon de Front AAR.

At 22 years of age, Thomas Rampasse hadn't achieved anything and didn't know what to do with his life. When war began, he volunteered for the Army and was sent into the carnage of the Western Front during the First World War. With historical details and events - such as the transport of thousands of soldiers from Paris to Sèzanne in Parisian taxis - this gripping story takes us into the clamour and terror of trench warfare, in which disobeying orders might be the only sane action at the time, but an action which could expose Rampasse to more danger...

<h3"> Community RPG's

Role Playing Games, in short RPGs, are a complex and highly entertaining way to interact and "play" with other members on TWC.

Communityrpgs250.png

In general, all participants of one RPG choose one faction for the game and pick their characters (Family Members, Agents, etc) out of this faction. Then, everyone acts out his role or character to turn a simple Total War campaign into a vivid theatre play or rather, a novel! Most RPGs have introduced a complex game system with political aspects and structures.
