The Thirteen Colonies are a nonplayable minor faction in Empire: Total War. The Thirteen Colonies were, as the name implies, thirteen British colonies established in the eastern border of North America between 1607 and 1732. These colonies, in order from the oldest to the most newly established were:

- Maryland
- Connecticut
- Rhode Island
- Delaware
- North Carolina
