This is a reminder from the Wiki Staff. Several of your edits on certain pages (mainly editing templates on pages such as Napoleon: Order of War and The Imperial House of Hader are unnecessary as they look fine as is and are in line with the rest of the templates on the wiki. If you wish to discuss template changes please contact one of the Wiki Staff and we will talk about it there. Please do not edit templates on pages without consultation.

The first one was just adding of internal links.
The second was to get rid of that bar at the edge, but seemingly didn't work. And that wasn't even a template.~Meneth 11:02, 3 January 2011 (MST)
The Edit to Napoleon has good and bad features which should be addressed individually [1] I've no idea what the width feature is meant to do (and suspect that no one else does either... as most of these originate from copies from Wikipedia etc...) removing that didn't change the display of the template... Adding the internal link to the Napoleon Total War page - which does already exist is a good idea. Adding a dead internal link to 'Marshal Beale' where that page doesn't exist, but old link went to his forum profile, is not productive, unless Meneth is very imminently about to make a page for him.... Secondly, it has come to my attention that you are creating new pages just for the purpose of redirecting them to other pages. Two of these pages are [2] and [3]. These pages serve no purpose and are only using up resources. Please refrain from doing so in the future. These pages will be deleted.

Regards

A large amount of pages write "Rome Total War" instead of "Rome: Total War", which was my reasoning for creating that redirect-page. It makes adding internal links easier.
The second one was so that people can actually find the House of Wilpuri page. In it's current form it is hard to find unless one knows to search for "Category:House of Wilpuri", while with that redirect page in place one will find it immediately by just searching for "House of Wilpuri" ~Meneth 11:02, 3 January 2011 (MST)
Ref-the category thing... Simetrical did point out a while ago that content shouldn't really be placed on 'category' pages, for various reasons, inc, they are not included in initial search versions, and they are harder to link to (without accidentally putting the linked page into the category instead of linking out to it).... Diversion from 'House of Wilpuri' to the Cat page if that is where the info is, does seem reasonable if it works -Makanyane 16:09, 3 January 2011 (MST)
The reason AFAIK that The House of Wilpuri is located on a category-page is that having two separate pages would make little sense. The same has been done for both Civitate and Artifex pages, and both have redirects from the page to the category-page. Doing the same for The House of Wilpuri is therefore in accordance with precedence. ~Meneth 16:11, 3 January 2011 (MST)
Yup - I was agreeing with your reasoning for adding the redirect. As to the fact that the info is on the Category page, if we were all starting again we probably wouldn't do it that way, but it's not worth moving that or similar ones off now.Makanyane 16:28, 3 January 2011 (MST)
Didn't think you were disagreeing, was just clarifying my position a bit ;) ~Meneth 16:29, 3 January 2011 (MST)

Please do not add a category to the Main Page, there is no need as it is the main page. Ultimation 02:12, 4 January 2011 (MST)

Okay. A response to the stuff above on this talk-page would be appreciated though. ~Meneth 03:47, 4 January 2011 (MST)

Stubbing People Pages

erm generally, unless otherwise requested by the Wiki staff - please don't put 'stub' template on any 'people' pages.... I've been finding quite a few that I've needed to remove it from, mainly because the person referred to hasn't been active for years and no-one is likely to wish to expand the article, or be able to add any useful info at this stage. Making sure the page links to the members most recent TWC Profile, and that it's in relevant cat's is all that's required for most characters. -Makanyane 15:55, 7 January 2011 (MST)

Okay, won't stub any more "people" pages from now on ~Meneth 16:01, 7 January 2011 (MST)

Change of Templates & alignment

This is the third time i'm warning you not to fiddle with the templates unless you are a content staff member which you are not. Also don't create new internal links if they don't exist generally the userpages if you are so keen to put it then use the TWC profile link(if internal link doesn't exists) i'll be happy so see that when you're editing mod articles.Another thing is don't remove the gaps from articles it ruins their alignment like you did in thera(see the factions sections). You might also wanna see the Wiki article of PKH mod as well where you messed up the template by placing the internal link incorrectly. -Ishan 18:55, 7 January 2011 (MST)

Yes, I saw that (PKH) after you fixed it. Everyone makes mistakes once in a while. Linking to internal pages even if they don't exist is common practice for wikis. This is because they'll often eventually get created.
All I'm doing to templates is linking the platform to the wiki-page about it. Also, I'd like to know why you replaced the template for Thera with the whole code instead. It's a waste of space, and makes it more tedious to edit anything. ~Meneth 19:12, 7 January 2011 (MST)
