Anagennese is a spin off forum of Total War Center that was first established during the may 2005 crisis to resist the moderation of Crandar. When founded every single member had moderator powers under the philosophy that self-moderation would prove more constructive than the draconian policies of the contempory TWC forums. Membership was strictly by invite only.
Anagennese Today
Anagennese was founded by Boris Pavlov Grozny and GodEmperor Nicholas after their resignation from TWC. Although when established every member, picked by invitation, held moderating powers, today Anagennese is more of a typical forum. After many of the founding members gained power on Total War Center itself moderator powers on the site were restricted to a select group, that more or less reflected the new staff of TWC. The forum remains a center for forum exiles and dissenters. However, since many of the members of Anagennese are now in staff roles, or have been, on Total War Center it has lost its atmosphere of a resistence group. Membership remains by invite only, though the membership has expanded significantly.
Its sub-forums today are mostly inactive. Most activity on the forum remains in the chat thread which goes through various names and guises a day.
In April 2007 Corporal Hicks who had founded the TWC spin-off forum History Alive (which eventually became inactive in favour of Anagennese) alleged on Total War Center that the members of Anagennese ran the site. Although these remarks were not received with enthusiasm it did pique interest in Anagennese, and a system has been established whereby applying members are greeted by 'Crandar' and the members of the site vote on whether to grant the applicant membership.
