Ostrakon was the name of the procedure for removing the rank of citizen. This procedure fell into disuse, but was partially re-implemented following an amendment and later incorporated into the Curial Overhaul 66. Citizen referrals may now be posted either privately to be judged by the Praefects, or publically as an Ostrakon, where all Citizen hold a vote.
