Mexico is a emergent faction in [[Empire: Total War]]. It is created when the region of New Spain rebels and captures the regional capital. This nation is somewhat of "major nation" in a sense because of the plentiful natural resources in the New Spain region. If you are playing as the Spanish empire in the Grand Campaign and this nation manages to become free, you will have problems.
