Cut Content (RTW)

Cut Content is game content that was at some point being worked on internally but didn't make it into final release or wasn't made available to use in some way or another. It is believed that many of the units for both Barbarian Invasion and Rome Total War were already being worked on before Rome's release in 2003, due to their appearence on Decisive Battles, so this article will cover both Rome and its DLCs.

• Persian Inmortals - Likely a dismounted version of Arab Cavalry.

• Alternative Spartan / Sacred Band model - Potentially Seleucid

• Dacian Shirtless wordmen
• Night Raider / Axemen alternative with Gaul colors

• Square-shield phalanx unit - Could be Bronze Age, Carthaginian, Egyptian

Factions

• Germans - Used to have a completelly different faction logo resembling a dragon.
• Illyria - Blue faction on the balkans wich used the Thracian's colors and logo.
• Seleucid Empire using yellow.
• Light Blue Faction, potentially old Armenian or Parthian colors, or a cut Persia faction.
• Parthia using a dark muted purple.

Unit Changes

• Julii legionaires used to use a black-red color pattern.
• Scipii legionaires used to use a black-blue color pattern and very dark armor.
• Yellow color for mercenaries - Could be repurposed Sseleucid elephants for a trailer.

Graphic changes

• Fire graphics changed
• Campaign map textures changed completelly.

UI Changes

• Unit Information image style changed.
• Unit cards style changed.
• Eagle on top of some banners in battle.
• Construction and recruitment buttons were on the left, next to the world map.
