Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia is the first in a new class of Total War game developed by The Creative Assembly which was released on 3 May, 2018 for Microsoft Windows and for MacOS and Linux on 24 May 2018. The Total War Saga games are intended to be standalone spin-off titles which concentrate on short pivotal moments in history occurring in limited geographic areas.

Shieldwall: A Historical Overhaul

Shieldwall is a historical overhaul mod for Thrones of Britannia. The aim is to deliver period style shield wall battles and new weapons (sling, throwing spear, Irish dart), with unit design that gives each culture a more defined role and fighting style. The campaign will offer a scaled down and finely tuned economy to facilitate a more challenging and authentic experience in the Viking Age. The mod is being released in chunks of features as work progresses.
