New user guide
Welcome to the wiki!
- hi welcome this is the wiki about total war stuff
Getting an account
- brief bit on how this works, key difference: don't necessarily push people through twc, mention or even encourage unregistered users who are willing to help?
- mention the wiki's registration thread, discussion thread, and presence on twc discord
Updating your preferences
- Brief blurbs on each in order of tabs starting with appearance
- Possibly ignore/remove mention of the poll feature? don't think we will see return on this
Editing the wiki
Existing page or section
- much the same as now
Adding a new page
- similar to now with some thought how to streamline and organize these
Markup and formatting
- brief primer, direct to another page or mediawiki documentation for anything in depth
- mention only what is essential for casual editors, have the more determined do due dilligence through 'further reading'
Other things to do
Getting more help
- who to talk to and how if you're stumped
Things to work on
- brief primer for the 'things to do' page with some basic stuff here so people don't have to read it
Wiki organization
- brief primer on how things are structured leading into the 'organization' page which breaks down things like staff list templates, portals and other twc wiki functions
I am a header and I don't know what I want
- something else but I don't want more than a couple headers after this
- gotta fix that header template and increase font size normally because having it in the toc is just weird
