Total War: Pharaoh
Welcome to Total War: Pharaoh on the TWC Wiki
Overview
Total War: Pharaoh is the latest game in the Total War Series, released 11th October 2023. Described on Steam:
- "In Total War: PHARAOH, the newest entry in the award-winning grand strategy series, immerse yourself in ancient Egypt at the zenith of its power and experience the dramatic events that threaten its destruction. With dynamic real-time battles and incredible turn-based empire management, can you rise above your adversaries to become Egypt’s last great Pharaoh and stand against the collapse of an iconic civilisation?"
The game takes a more narrow approach to the campaign than previous games, focusing on the immediate area of Egypt and its development. In scale it is closer to Total War: Napoleon or Total War: Shogun II than its immediate predecessor Total War: Three Kingdoms. Thematically its focus shifts from the more mythological takes of Troy and Three Kingdoms to a more historical presentation seen in Attila and before.
