Chronicles of Arcus ("COA"), a.k.a. Arcus Lux, is a collection of three soundtracks created for the modding community. The albums were first called Arcus Lux (lat. Archlight) but as the project progressed, the creator Jones King, decided that it would fit the 'story' behind the album better to rename it Chronicles of Arcus. The name Chronicles of Arcus refer to the landmass known as Arcus in the fictional world for which the albums were made. If you are looking for more detailed information about the world or setting of the Chronicles of Arcus please visit the World of Arcus page.

Quick overview

The album is soundtrack for movie or a story never told. And never is going to be either. Arcus a fictional world created by Jones King to serve as a story behind the music. Chronicles of Arcus: Complete Trilogy

??

Testing

The tracks have been tested on different soundsystems, however none of the tracks are suited for anything but simple 2.1 systems and headphones. The Chronicles of Arcus team highly recommends the usage of headphones for maximum effect. All tracks are compressed at rate of 320kps, however some may be compressed at only 128 - see dokuments in download for more information.

Usage

The scores are 100% free of charge. We do suggest you credit the artists in your credits.
The scores cannot however be re-distributed for a fee or used in any other 'commercial' way. Some scores contain samples which may not be re-distributed for a fee, although they are free to use. Before downloading you will have an opportunity to read the license in full.

Reception & reviews

"Chronicles of Arcus I is a great initiative and one of the most - if not the most - significant contribution to the modding community for a long time. The tracks of the score are great, and fit very well the theme of RTW - ie they are perfect for battle- and tension- tracks. "All the brave men" and the "Thássus wounded" are my favourites, with "Enter Lord Thássus" coming right behind them. Overall, Chronicles of Arcus Pt.1 is a *great* piece of work [...]"

- Man, I just listened to #10 and #9 (COA II) and it is awesome, I love that sound!!! Spectacular!

- I've had a sneak peak at the prologue (COA II), and it is very mesmerizing. Great to get players immersed in a mod.
