These tribal cavalry are ideal for quick, bloody, skirmish attacks.
Overview
Their small horses can get them into and out of a fight with little trouble, making them well-suited to raiding tactics rather than a long, wearing fight. They are often positioned on the wings of an army, where they can rapidly take advantage of any isolated or vulnerable enemies. They are also superb at pursuing broken enemy units to prevent them reforming.
Historically, the Qizilbash tribes settled in northern Afghanistan and the middle of Mughal India. Their name derives from the Turkic for "Red Heads" due to their distinctive red headwear, which they kept even during their time under Safavid Persian rule.
Details
Qizilbashi Cavlary are a light cavalry unit available only to the Indian factions. Whilst being Light Cavalry, they also have the ability to wield carbines on horseback. This means that they are a highly useful unit on the field. Due to their speed, they should be used to engage the enemy on their flanks whilst the enemy themselves are pinned down from friendly line infantry fire. Furthermore they should be used to hunt down routing enemies. However due to their lack of armour they will easily be defeated by heavy cavalry, unless supported.
