Here is a list of sites than can be used to host mods and/or files, with some basic information on each. Sites are listed alphabetically* split between dedicated gaming sites and general file hosting sites.

Although these sites have been suggested by individual TWC members, no guarantee is given that any of them will perform as desired! It would be advisable to test any you are proposing to use with a test upload and download of a small file before attempting large uploads or releasing your link to the public. As always if using any internet facility you should make sure your computer is protected and you are using good sense in accessing content, downloading it and entering sensitive information into forms. TWC takes no responsibility for the use of any of the websites listed below.

Remember there is also TWC Download, available to all members for uploading content up to 100mb in size.

Items marked TBC need to be confirmed or rechecked, please update any information that is incomplete or out of date if you know!

Torrents

Torrents are a way to offer files without depending on a host site being available, however they depend on users to 'seed' the files: that is, make them available to be downloaded from their connection. It is a rare option for modders to offer but it is a viable one on top of an existing site or method, especially if the mod is popular enough to have multiple seeds or there are committed 'seeders'.

Image Uploads

  • ImgBB is a fairly reliable, though limited without pay option used by various TWC members.

Other options include Photobucket and Imgur, though these hosts have become more restrictive over time. Photobucket appears to no longer have a free hosting option.

There is also the albums feature available through TWC itself.
