Scorch is a Moderator of the Total War Center
History
Scorch joined Total War Center back in August 2005, shortly after buying a copy of Rome: Total War. After a few months, he left TWC, to return in a few sporadic bursts, like when he bought Barbarian Invasion.
That all changed after Christmas 2006, when he got Medieval 2: Total War. Returning to TWC initially for the mods, he was interested by the debates that raged in the CC, and decided to try and become a Civitate.
When the rebellion against ON was at its peak, Scorch had to go on holidays, and returned to find the site in Imb's hands. Shortly thereafter, he became a citizen. He was patronised by Ozymandias - who he had met in the debating forums several times already - and passed his vote.
As soon as he became a citizen he jumped right into it. He first gained recognition (not to mention almost 10 points of rep) for debating with tBP in the Curia Main about his actions on a thread to appreciate the beauty of the feminine form. He fought with jp in order to change the patrician rank, and generally embroiled himself in Curia politics.
Less than a month into his time as a citizen, Scorch answered a call for moderators, and was - to his surprise - accepted.
Having earned his Bronze Moderators Mace and Bronze (soon to be Silver) Scribe's Quill, Scorch was accepted as a Patrician, shortly before the rank was abolished. He is also noted for attempting to VonC the Black Prince, who he alleged had been doing a poor job as Curator, other members of the curia supported this viewpoint and the VonC was taken to vote. The VonC failed however, with 29 votes in favour, 31 against, and 15 abstentions; notably the total of 75 votes cast represented one of the highest voting turnouts seen in the curia.
Scorch was elected to the Consilium de Civitate recently, and has recently been elected Wiki Editor. He has also been heavily involved in the Helios, producing a Vestiga Vestutatis column for the every edition but two, since he joined the team. He is also the author of the article "An Analysis of the Fall of the Roman Empire" which is now housed in the scriptorium.
