Critic's Quill
The Critic's Quill is a TWC publication, published under the title 'The Eagle Standard Presents: The Critic's Quill'. It was started separate to the Eagle Standard, but was quickly incorporated under it's banner, as it deals with some similar aspects. The Critic's Quill offers readers reviews, articles and interviews about After Action Reports (AAR). It is published on the Sunday of every fortnight, with the current issue being Volume I Issue XI.
History
Work began on the first issue of the Critic's Quill at the beginning of April 2009. The idea was floated in the AAR forum by the user fergusmck about the possibility of an AAR reviewing magazine. With help from Aster, who had produced some reviews of his own before, TW King and Morinzil, as well as moderation support from Hesus de Bodemloze, the first issue was launched soon after.
The merger with the Eagle Standard was first put forward by Calvin, through Hesus, who was acting as the public 'face' of the CQ at this time. Eventually it was agreed on that the CQ should be published as an Eagle Standard publication.
