Third Age: Total War

Third Age: Total War is a Medieval II: Total War: Kingdoms total-conversion mod. It brings you directly into the world of Middle Earth where you can choose from different races such as Men, Dwarves, Elves and Orcs to free the peoples of Middle Earth or help the Dark Lord Sauron to spread his shadow. See installation instructions and more here.

Europa Barbarorum II

Europa Barbarorum II is a revised and extended version of its predecessor RTW mod Europa Barbarorum, which has been adapted for Medieval II Total War. This is a full conversion mod (not surprising with M2TW since it’s a different time period). See the download thread here for more details.

Stainless Steel Historical Improvement Project

SSHIP is a submod for Stainless Steel 6.4 that aims to improve the game from a historical accuracy perspective. To this end it revises most aspects of SS 6.4, ranging from adding new factions and altering the campaign map to adding new units and adjusting faction diplomatic relations. See its presentation thread here for more details.

Hyrule: Total War

Hyrule:Total War is a fantasy mod that transports the player in Hyrule, the home world of the Legend of Zelda. With new units, monsters both small and gigantic, and a host of new features to accurately depict the Zelda saga, HTW offers an experience different from vanilla M2TW. Download it here and watch some of its trailers and cinematics here.
