The Celts are a low level, aggressive infantry focused faction that is rather old-fashioned, a lot like the barbarians of the original Rome Total War. They start off with basic Pictish Spearmen, but from a minor city can get access to Gallowglass, an effective melee Infantry armed with a bastard Sword that will defeat most opposing infantry. They also get 2 unique units from their Temples, Druids, who inspire nearby troops, and Hounds of Culann, an Armour Piercing berserker unit. For cavalry, the Celts get the Scotti Chariots, an ineffective chariot, Wolfhounds, and Noble Clansmen, who are almost as tough as most Barbarian nobles and come in earlier. The Celts have missile choices that do good damage and are Armour Piercing but have short range.

The Celts are one of the non-playable factions in the Barbarian Invasion expansion for Rome: Total War. They can be made playable through very simple modding. They are in the Barbarian culture group.

The Celts need to invade all of Britain and parts of Gaul.
