Wrath of the Norsemen

Introduction

Wrath of the Norsemen's Baltic Release throws you into the Viking Age complete with new factions, new units, a new map, improved AI, new scripts and much more. Its first release focuses on the events around the Baltic sea between the years 785 to 1050. Command some of the greatest Early Middle Age kingdoms around the Baltic, and defend yourself from the occurring Rus' as you battle it out for ultimate supremacy.

Overview

The mod will take place from 785-1050 AD and will cover the affairs of the wars between ununited Scandinavian tribes and the surrounding peoples across the Baltic sea. Wrath of the Norsemen takes the most dynamic, fun and bloodthirsty era and throws it into M2TW: Kingdoms.

History

4th January 2007 The mod is founded by tnick777.

25th March, 2007 The project is voted "Most Promising Mod for M2TW" in the TWC Modding Awards in early 2007.

20th May, 2007 Raven Darkwing is voted project leader with 18 votes versus 0. Tnick777 is removed as moderator, yet he is still to be given credit as founder.

8th July, 2007 First internal alpha is released.

25th September, 2007 The first grand preview is finished and published.

February 10, 2008 The 1st monthly preview is released to the public, begining the first of the 3 monthly previews.

March 30, 2008 The 2nd monthly preview is released to the public.

May 01, 2008 The 3nd monthly preview is released to the public, ending the last of the monthly previews.

September - October, 2008 Wrath of the Norsemen is officaly dead.

November 29, 2008 The mod is officaly reborn and progress begins once more. Forgotten One becomes the new mod leader.

January 01, 2009 5th preview released, being the largest so far.
