Hello there. I am Dismounted Feudal Knight, currently a Magistrate on TWC. Among other things I have been a moderator, a Staff wiki editor and freelance wiki editor, a curialist, and occasionally a bit of a spitfire. I've changed brand a few times since joining in 2017; in my earlier TWC years I impersonated an infamous Roman emperor. I tend to participate in bursts.

There's also raidarr#6550 on Discord if you prefer, and I'm found under that name through the topically related strategygaming.com site.
Wee bit of history
2015-2021
I've been aware of the site existing since 2013-2014 or so. I registered in 2015, but did nothing and forgot the account. In 2017 I registered again, sucked in by Jadli from an obscure multiplayer/hotseating community on Steam. I wasn't very good at hotseating, but I did manage to get this started.
I began to participate in Tale of the Week and the Curial Commentary Thread, in the meantime engaged in 'light reading' of the site's extended history. Hotseating had a civil war that I was tangentially involved in.
Eventually I was patronized by King Athelstan. My antics in the CCT became antics within the Curia. I'd go on about its future and ideas from time to time. At this point I was a bit of an awards grouch.
I entered Staff a couple of times, not lasting long because I was a bit hotheaded and failed to manage burnout. I served very brief stints as a Librarian, a member of the Wiki Team twice, and as part of the very obscure Discord Staff. Despite having entered the wiki team formally a few times, my award-backed achievements have been as a regular member often in coordination with Makanyane, a long-time Wiki Director who sadly retired in 2022.
I've held office in the Curia a few times. Once as a Praefect before that position was removed, once as a Magistrate (rather briefly) and one term as Consul in late 2021. None of these terms were very accomplished. Frankly neither is the current Magistrate term as there is little to preside over these days, despite it lasting longer than the first time.
I've had a few branding issues, usually between stints in offices or Staff. They included making a new account to increment my original name, rebranding to an endrich antagonist from the Zelda series, and rediscovering my 2015 account and rebranding it to be a sentient cat. I've also tried my hand at blogging, after which I decided the blogs were cringy and had them purged. I can be a little eccentric.
2022-2023
In 2022 I 'got my shit together', settled on branding as some unit from Medieval 2, and began a stint as a Moderator which lasted most of the year. I also bugged the Content Hex about putting me on the Wiki Team again. I didn't do a lot with the latter but I think I did reasonably well as a moderator.
At the close of 2022 I became involved in something else which I expected to take me offline for a long time, and thus I resigned my roles and disappeared. What I expected to take ~8 months ended up lasting a good month. So in early 2023, I booked the next spot for Magistrate and I've been futzing ever since. TWC history is long and full of twists... stay tuned. :p

Current Badges
Badge | Description |
---|---|
(?) | Elected February 18th, 2023. I vote on the (currently nonexistent) cases where users appeal Moderator actions. |
(?) | Anointed March 15, 2020. I honestly just chose 'Civitate' over 'Citizen' because it's more fancy. |
Awards
Award | Type | Reason |
---|---|---|
Silver Wiki Editor Award | The mark of my non-staff wiki history working on content, infrastructure and skins for the wiki. Achieved Bronze on June 3rd, 2019 and Silver on April 28th, 2020. | |
Moderator's Mace (Silver) | A reward for spambot-bashing and various janitorial work, mainly in the TW sections. |
Received a bronze CMS blogger award for meeting the 5 blog threshold. The blogs were not particularly good and I had the award scrapped with the blogs.

(?) | Moderator as of February 5th, 2022 to December 2022. Voted 'best jannie twc ever had' by Cope, if that helps. The legacy is in the 'edited by' section of, well, an awful lot of pins in the forum... |
(?) | Wiki Team as of February 24th, 2022 to December 2022. I've retained the on-wiki access acquired during this term. |
(?) | Elected on May 11th, 2021. It was an unremarkable term that I'm not very proud of, but I did get to experience the eldrich vBulletin underlay... |
(?) | Elected on June 6th, 2020 as a local moderator of the Curia; served shortly before the position was eliminated. Didn't do much. I forget if I resigned, the term expired or it just got dropped with me in it, but I know my term was ending and that's around when it was binned. |
(?) | Discord Staff, as of May 10th, 2020. It was purple on Discord and never reflected on the site itself. Eventually I resigned, but the other guy has been there since the start. Now I'm a strange amalgamation of Gaming-Discord-Tech staff since KA gave me access to do some tweaks there. |
(?) | A very short term to evaluate cases that were brought to the Tribunal. It was good reading for the future, but I was rather underqualified. There weren't many candidates and it was only after that it was realized I was just a little too new to citizenship to actually hold the position.. |
(?) | Before the badge was merged into main Content Staff, I briefly held this position. It was in the twilight days of Scriptorium activity in 2018. |
(?) | Wiki Team a few times early on. The stints were quite brief; they were succeeded by a longer term above. |
Goals on the wiki and TWC
I have three priorities for the wiki.
- offer a fairly complete history of TWC (ie: History of TWC)
- offer a resource that is helpful to and used by the wider modding community (ie: the Modding Portal)
- effectively supplement what TWC offers with its better load speeds, SEO and so forth (pages about staff, the faq and so on)
I'm not good with documenting units, factions, game mechanics and individual mods. The first three especially are a game of whack-a-mole that other wikis have us beat on by far.
These are just what I am interested in/will be most useful with - I'll review any article especially on request for copyedits and feedback. I also partake in the wiki's overall category work, theme design/tweaks and administration as far as my non-wikiteam role can take me.
My role on TWC itself mirrors here, including upkeep of pins, content and minor details as far as I can at a given time. Plus awards stuff.
All of this tends to happen in 'sprees of activity' when working on my own. If you see something I do and would like to help, or are interested in an area I'm weak in and would like to work with me, I'm always open to messages.
Wanted pages
- Competitions / Site Competitions
- detail on some of the offbrand titles released by CA
- User:Dismounted Feudal Knight/Mod catalogue (may deprecate at this point)
Awards and TWC stuff
- site awards (mostly done probably)
- awards hitlist in no particular order
- flinn -> curial service
- bitterhowl -> artifex, a modding service/legio award, and/or opifex especially with his ai work. Leaning larger once the ai work sees a substantial and used release
- Macaras -> award and/or citizenship especially pertaining to his SSHIP work
- realm56 -> citizenship on account of just good contribution in general, despite activity being in flux
- various hotseating forum members -> modding awards for hotseat tweaks and citizenship for long-term memberships and participation, however I defer to the operators of the forum to push the ball on these
- Sara Temer -> possible opifex as the leading shogun modder on the site
- Belovèse -> citizenship
- WeekendGeneral -> take your pick of modding awards given his broken crescent work and the fact he still shows up to help
- RafSwi7 -> obvious citizen for continued staff work, modding work and other participation that is ongoing
- j.a.luna -> legio and/or citizenship
- Shoebopp -> citizenship
- Araval -> make the case for opifex
- links and stuff for old site pins
