Hello there. I am Dismounted Feudal Knight. Due to some strange history, some users may know me under other names. If you don't, 'dfk' will do.

I have been aware of the site existing since 2013-2014 or so. I registered in 2015, but did nothing significant with it. In 2017 I was properly absorbed into the twc crack club by Jadli, a prolific organizer in the hotseating community. In time I became better known for Curia and commentary participation, with very light presence across most of the forum. From time to time I entered staff, but lacked staying power, confidence, and frankly a fair amount of competence as well.

One field I did manage to stand out in was wiki editing, which I've largely contributed to as an ordinary user (indeed, as can anyone) and occasionally as a member of the wiki team. These days I am a fledgling Moderator and continue to intermittently tweak, add to and occasionally promote the wiki.

Badges and Awards

Current

Badge Description
3K Moderator.png (?) I am a moderator as of February 5th, 2022. Thus, while not in full yet, I am a point of contact as well as a front line responder for site moderation.
3K Civitate.png (?) I am also a citizen with a slight tangy flavor, anointed March 15, 2020.

Previous

Badge Description
3K Consul.png (?) Elected on May 11th, 2021. It was an unremarkable term, though it offered a necessary degree of familiarity with the eldrich underlay known as vBulletin. As well as some historic reading.
3K Praefectus.png (?) Elected on June 6th, 2020; served shortly before the position was eliminated. A local moderation position, though like my time as Magistrate it was rather short and I did little more than acquire interesting reading.
3K Gaming Staff.png (?) This was a weird one, never reflected on site but created for Discord on May 10th, 2020. It was technically a form of gaming staff, but has its own discord color and was created for another member and myself to help develop the discord server. For my part I did rather little, and ultimately I resigned. The co-holder of the position still has it, however.
3K Magistrate.png (?) A very short term helping evaluate cases that were brought to attention in the Tribunal. While good reading for the future, I was rather underqualified and likely received the position in light of the limited electorate and candidates. Certain discrepancies made the term shorter than expected.
3K Librarian.png (?) Before the badge was merged into main Content Staff, I briefly held this position. It was in the twilight years of Scriptorium activity back in 2018. One of the initial cases where I didn't stick.
3K Content Staff.png (?) I've been involved in Content Staff proper a few times, and have never quite stuck. Aside from the Scriptorium I was involved in the Wiki Team, initially also in 2018. As time has passed I've ultimately made a niche as an independent editor, and was previously often in collaboration with the wiki director of the time.

For a time I was interested in Modding Staff. Alas, various issues resulted in its closure and the opportunity never appeared, though much of what I wished to do then are possible in different avenues now.

Awards

Award Type Reason
Wiki Editor silver.png Silver Wiki Editor Award The mark of my various engagements on the wiki including article, structure and skin development. Silver on April 28th, 2020; Bronze on June 3rd, 2019.

I also received a bronze CMS blogger award for meeting the 5 blog threshold. The blogs were not particularly good.
