Start Position
The Yuan Clan starts in Nanyang Commandery. It's starting leader is Yuan Shu. Yan Xiang, Yang Hong, and Zhang Cheng also start as part of it.
The family tree consists of Yuan Shu, his wife Lady Feng, his son Yuan Yao, and his daughter Yuan Anyang. Their family tree is connected to that of his half brother, Yuan Shao.
Unique Mechanic
Legitimacy - A resource the Yuan Clan gets through a unique diplomatic action to demand recognition. High legitimacy increases income and prestige gain. Legitimacy is spent on recruiting new characters.

Initial Dilemma
The Yuan Clan's dilemma is about being approached by an envoy from Sun Jian. The envoy reports that Sun Jian is being beset on all sides by the forces of Liu Biao, who is seeking the Imperial Seal in the name of Yuan Shao.
