Overview

Blogs at TWC are housed within the Content Management System (aka CMS). While TWC it's a Total War games fan site, its community is big enough to host some passionate and productive bloggers. Whether they are writing about games, life, traveling, sport or what's not, if you are interested in knowing what they have to tell you, please refer directly to the TWC Blogging Hub.

If you wish to know how to join the glorious ranks of the CMS Bloggers, please refer to the CMS Blogging Thread; remember to read the special rules for the CMS Blogs as they are reported in that thread or you can head directly to the Terms of Service page here.

There's a reason for having a set of special rules which forbids arguments like politics and religion at the CMS Blogs: the Administration doesn't want to have to do any heavy moderation there, so such controversial arguments (together with others that might be added in the future at the discretion of the Administration) are banned from the CMS Blogs, but of course not from TWC in general. Anyone who wants to blog about one or more of these arguments, can use the old TWC Member Blogs subforum (link below), which will be moderated normally by the TWC Moderation Staff.

Every blogger has the right to request a spotlight on this very page, that can be used to describe in few words their blogs/blog series, in order to give people easier access to them and a glimpse on what's being posted by them. Use the CMS Blogging Thread for requesting yours.

Bloggers Spotlights

Flinn

Flinn is a known Dudeist, alcoholic, pro-camper and corrupted politician; he's been posting Blogs since July 2019.

CMS%20BLOG%20Silver%20small.png Flinn has been awarded with the CMS Blogger Award Silver Medal on November 2019, upon reaching his 12th Blog post.

Blogs:

  • The Dude goes into politics series; discover how I decided to further ruin my life by joining the infamous ranks of the Italian Public Administrators!
  • The life of a winemaker; because after all I've managed to do something good in my life.. come and learn how to mess with ageless old traditions!
  • The fine art of Wild Camping; It's not what you think, quite the opposite I'm sure... life can be great everywhere, included in the middle of nowhere!
  • The Dude's thoughts I mean, I'm better than the most of you, so just sit there and let me illuminate you!

General Brewster

General_Brewster is famous for being constantly on the verge of leaving TWC, something he couldn't achieve since he loves us more than he loves himself!

CMS%20BLOG%20Bronze%20small.png General Brewster has been awarded with the CMS Blogger Award Bronze Medal on November 2019, after the Award was successfully implemented on that date.

Blogs:

  • Brew's blogs; General Brewster has blogged on various matters, from frivolous stuff as how washing his own car seems to be an impossible task (something everybody experienced at least once in their life), to some romantic creative writing, or even social matters as "deaf people", though most of his production is related to his own real life (a matter that needs proper deep thinking) or struggles at TWC. You can find plenty of great content in his Blogging page, just don't make negative comments on him or he's gonna leave us for good!

Imperator Majora

Imperator Majora meanders into psychology and pseudointellectuallism, presumably in an attempt to sound smart while lacing it with constant self-deprecation. He is known to produce in bursts, and offer twice the volume of any criticism he receives in response.

CMS%20BLOG%20Bronze%20small.png For his diatribes he has received the CMS Blogger Award Bronze Medal on April 21, 2020. His full blog list may be found here.

A Commodian Wit

Produced in his waning days as CommodusIV, A Commodian Wit is a series of thoughts and responses on various intangible entities, personifying elements including Apathy, Purpose, and Chaos. Barely proofread and devoid of structure, they may nonetheless give the reader something to think about. They were published between March 13th and April 10th of 2020. Entries include: Apathy, Purpose, Power, Common Ground, and Education. A better written, more organized set of thoughts is intended for any future work.

Original Member Diaries and Blogs

The Writers' Study hosts a forum called TWC Member Blogs which contains some interesting early 'blogs' by TWC members simply using the forum thread format. It is still possible to post in this section but it has largely been superseded by the CMS system described above.
