Starting Position
The Britons start in the British Isles, controlling the entire island of Britain. However Ireland is controlled by the Rebels. They are quite safe on the island from most threats. They begin with control over Deva, Eburacum, Samarobriva and Londinium, their capital.
Win Conditions
- Long Campaign: Hold 50 regions including Rome
- Short Campaign: Hold 15 regions and outlast or destroy Gaul
Units
The Britons have a rather typical unit roster for a barbarian faction with the exception of chariots and several other unique units.
Unique Units
BRITISH CHARIOTS: There are 2 types of British chariots, light and heavy. Light chariots are great missile units but are destroyed very quickly in melee. Heavy chariots are great for cutting through enemy lines and have high attack but almost no defence which means they are dead if they stop. They are also very expensive. Both types of chariots can easily demolish enemy morale causing a rout if just one unit of chariots charges into the rear of a nearby enemy. But keep in mind that they can run over your own troops when charging.
DRUIDS : Britons share this unit with Gauls. It can be recruited by building a certain shrine. Druids use chanting to raise morale of nearby allied troops while lowering it for enemies.
HEAD HURLERS : The Head Hurlers are a fierce unit who throw the heads of fallen foes at the enemy once dipped in quicklime. This not only causes damage, but massive amounts of damage to enemy morale.
WOAD WARRIORS : Extra powerful swordsmen covered in war paint that causes fear in enemy troops.
