Contents
Overview
Gaming Staff are a branch of staff responsible for operating several competitions, tournaments and activities for the website. There are a handful of branches within Gaming, often autonomous in their activity while under the eye of the Gaming Hex.
The current Gaming Hex is Template:GamingHex. Local staff are available and able to assist with matters in their branch, otherwise the Gaming Hex is the ideal contact for general department matters.
Departments
Total War Hotseats
The Hotseat Staff organize and maintain the hotseating section on the forum, using the hotseat mechanic to host campaigns and competitions based on the game mode as well as keep the section friendly and informative. Regular users may organize their own Hotseat games in this section as well.

General Competitions
The General Competitions are various posting games members can partake in.
- The Total Guess Competition hosts organized guessing games in the Coliseum. The games award points for being successful, and with enough points a member can receive TGC awards!
- The Post of the Fortnight Competition allows users to nominate quality posts made in a given span of time. The winner receives points that contribute to PotF awards. This position is vacant; please contact an administrator if you're interested in helping organize it.

Play by Post RPGs were once a feature provided by TWC for roleplaying games. The section fell dormant, and has been unavailable to the public for some time. If you are interested in the section, please contact the administration.
Site Awards

The Site Awards are yearly events organized by the Gaming Hex and non-permanent volunteers. There are two of them: the Modding Awards and the Members' Awards. If you are interested in assisting with this, such as providing dedicated art or help coordinating, feel free to get in contact!
Gaming Color & Badges
Gaming Staff have orange color and the following badge:
Gaming Directors are also orange, but have the following badge instead:
Note that gaming badges and colors can be overridden by other roles, ie, Moderator or Hex or other branch/badge preferences.
Gaming Emeritus
The Gaming Emeritus are former staff (typically, Directors of a section) who have left office, but can still participate in the Staff as advisors.

Gaming Awards
As noted above, there are several opportunities to receive awards by participating in Gaming activities. Aside from specific awards there is also the more general Gaming Competition Sword, awarded for winning an official Gaming competition once, three times and six+ times respectively:
