'''[[Chosen Archer Warband (RTW Unit) |Chosen Archer Warband]]''' These troops are skilled long ranged archers with chainmail armour, and can be used to keep enemy archers from targeting vulnerable units. They can also fight as light infantry if necessary.
These men are higly prised for their skill with the bow and the ability to keep enemy archers away from your less protected soldiers make these men worth more than their prize.

Dacian Starting Position (Click to enlarge)

Dacia begins in the Balkans, north of Macedonia, west of the Thracians and south of the Scythians. To the west of Dacia are the rebel territories of Aquinicum, Lovosice and Segestica.

Their cities are:

  • Porrolissum: Dacian Capital; Region - Dacia
  • Campus Iazyges: Dacian Town; Region - Tribus Iazyges

Victory Conditions

  • Long Campaign: Hold 50 provinces including Rome.
  • Short Campaign: Hold 15 provinces and outlast or destroy Thrace and Macedon

Units

Dacia is a well rounded faction with a strong early game focus. They get strong early units such as Falxmen, Archer Warband and Barbarian cavalry. They have competent Sword Infantry, decent cavalry and multiple archers options, some of which can fight in melee if required. In the late game their troops will have trouble against elite armies of more civilized powers. Their roster is essentially a generic barbarian roster, similar to Gaul with a few trade offs.

Unique Units

Falxmen These warriors have a strong attack but poor defense. Falxmen are also very mobile, and so are suitable for ambushing or supporting heavy cavalry such as Noble Cavalry

Chosen Archer Warband These troops are skilled long ranged archers with chainmail armour, and can be used to keep enemy archers from targeting vulnerable units. They can also fight as light infantry if necessary.
