The Khanate of Khiva was meant to be one of many unplayable minor factions in Empire: Total War. However, they were cut from the game at the last minute, and do not appear in the Grand Campaign.

Overview

If kept in the game, the Khanate of Khiva would originate in the area between the Caspian and Aral seas. In the present Grand Campaign, this area is a desert region, referred to as the Kara-Kum, and is impassable.
