Wurttemberg is a minor Catholic nation with an Absolute Monarchy as a goverment system. It appears as an unplayable faction in Empire: Total War's Grand Campaign.
Starting Position
Wurttemburg is surrounded by other minor german nations and powerful major nations such as France and Austria. Wurttemburg's lands are fairly rich and include a university that is upgraded pretty early in the game--these traits combine to make Wurttemburg a good target for expansion. However, like other nations, Wurttemburg can field quite a large army and hold its own.
Basics at Start
At the beginning of the Grand Campaign, Wurttemburg originates in Central Europe, bordered by France, Westphalia, Bavaria, and Hannover. At start, all the minor German States are targets for the German empires and France. Wurttemberg is allied with Westphalaia, but has very little in the way of defence, not having any armies consisting of more than 10 units. It is interesting to note that although Wurttemberg's main religion is Catholicism, most of its inhabitants are Protestant.
