Greece is an unplayable minor emergent faction in Empire: Total War.
Overview
Greece is a European country that rises in two different regions: Greece and Morea. Morea is held by Venice. Greece is under the control of the Ottoman Empire. Greece often emerges when war breaks out between the two. It starts as an absolute monarchy and is one of three Orthodox nations in the game (the others are Russia and Georgia). Contrary to history and common sense, Greece will often have very friendly relations with the Ottoman Empire shortly after it declares independence. Historically, Greece became recognized as a country in 1830, after it's war of independence. Greece in the game also speak Turkish, instead of Greek, because there are no recorded Greek sound clips.
